Logging My Experiences

  • BEGINNING OF THE YEAR ENTRY:"I feel confidently and positively about the work that I will complete this year. Although I anticipate a few obstacles and roadblocks on the road to completing my project, I know that the end result will be extremely worth the challenges that I may face."

This is an excerpt from my first journal entry in anticipation to beginning my project. When considering the overall project, I anticipated some obstacles such as struggling to come up with ideas for the project and stepping away from my comfort zone. However, as I predicted, the result of pushing through those temporary stuggles have proved well worth all of the rewards that this opportunity has offered me.

  • MID-YEAR ENTRY: "Seeing how my words can impact and help the kids encourages me to step up and work with them when I can sense that they are feeling a negative way, either about themselves or towards others. I have also experienced encouraging encounters when working with the kids on the activities that I create."

This quote was taken from my second journal that I had completed about half way through the year. Encapsulated within it are some of the many reasons that my experience with my project has been so positive.

  • END OF YEAR ENTRY: "All in all, my Academic Learning Project has been very successful. In the accomplishments I have achieved, lessons I have learned when working with my mentor, and positive experience I have had, I have continuously acquired, and hope to continue acquiring, many positive life skills and lessons that I look forward to putting to use in my future."

This quotes from my end of year journal entry reflects on the many positive aspects of my applied learning project.
